Harriet Watts

Harriet is a multi-disciplinary designer and maker who has been working with clay for over 10 years. As Co-Founder and Director of The Fortynine Studio from 2010-2018 she designed, developed and produced a range of tableware, plant pots and other ceramic work for commission, exhibition and sale.

More recently Harriet’s ceramic practice has expanded into sculptural works that explore relationship to place, embody stories and push the boundaries of what’s possible with clay. She is working with recycled clay bodies, wild clay, terracottas and stonewares fired to a range of temperatures.
