I tend to make small decorator pieces often with an Asian influence  and also enjoy making and decorating bowls either tiny and fragile to sit on a dresser  or large enough to sit comfortably on the floor.

I have been a member of Newcastle Studio Potter’s Inc. since 1995, a committee member continuously since 1997 and tutor of the children’s class from 2000 –2005.

At present I am the Workshop and Gallery Officer.

I gained my Diploma of Education in 1966 and have completed Ceramics Cert 1 and Cert 11 at Newcastle TAFE.

I work both at my studio at Elermore Vale and for the past 21 years at the NSP Inc. workshop at 57 Bull St, Cooks Hill.

My slip cast pieces are decorated with trailed slip patterns or are hand painted in underglaze colours. My wheel thrown pieces are larger and usually have an added feature to indicate an Asian influence.

My work is on sale in “The Gallery Shop” at Back to Back Galleries.

I have annually exhibited at Back to Back Galleries since 2004.

In 2017 my aim will be to produce bowls and platters that will provide attractive and functional tableware.
