Back to Back Galleries, Cooks Hill, will be hosting an exciting collaboration between two of Newcastle’s oldest and most known artist studios, Newcastle Studio Potters Inc and Newcastle Printmakers Workshop.
Comprising an amazing 46 artworks from members of both studios, the uniqueness of this exhibition begins with the two studios who have been established for over 40 years. This is the first time these studios have collaborated for an exhibition.
24 pairs of artists, one potter and one printmaker, were tasked with creating works that had at least one common element (be it form. colour. topic. etc) and from that create prints and ceramic objects that displayed a synergy.
This exciting exhibition is not to be missed and will be officially opened on Friday 12th September, by Barbara Greentree with a meet the artists 6-8pm.
A second opening is being held on Saturday 13, 2-4pm with exhibition organisers Denise Spalding (NSP Inc) and Sally Picker (NPW) opening that session.
