Although ‘nature’ can be a very broad topic it resonates with an emerging group of artists who connected through art school. Among this group is a volunteer at the Koala Sanctuary at Port Stephens, a Landcare volunteer, a committee member of Climate Action Group Newcastle and a member of the Electric Vehicles Association. These artists are all interested in their immediate and wider environmental surrounds and have individually sought to describe the inherent character of an element from the natural physical world through photography, ceramics, sculpture, drawing, printmaking and painting.
